Construction for the Spalding Western Relief Road is due to start in Spring 2020. Two of the five sections of road will be built on the northern side of Vernatt’s Drain within the parish boundary.
The first phase of construction will be section 5, which is building the roundabout junction onto to the B1356 Spalding Road, the road alongside Vernatt’s Drain and a bridge spanning over the railway line.
The contractor will appoint a liaison officer and the Parish Council will meet with them to discuss progress and raise any concerns. There have also been assurances that no construction traffic will come through the village.
