National Grid has issued a Spring 2026 community update on the Grimsby to Walpole project following its targeted consultation at Weston Marsh. The update explains that more detailed proposals were shared for Route Section 5, including two new substations, associated infrastructure and the earlier delivery of Weston Marsh Substation A. National Grid states that it received more than 250 responses during this consultation, in addition to 1,200 responses received across the wider project last summer. It also advises that further technical, environmental and heritage work is continuing, that a community fund is being developed, and that applications relating to Weston Marsh A are expected in the coming months, with the wider Development Consent Order application planned for 2027. Please see the attached community update poster for further information.
