The Council’s concerns

The response addresses the potential impacts on residents, landscape, wildlife, agricultural land, drainage and public access, together with the cumulative effects of other major infrastructure projects.

It also highlights the potential consequences for Fenleigh Farm, including disruption during construction, long-term constraints on farming and the future viability of the family business.

What happens next

The Council has requested a detailed written response from National Grid and further engagement before the local design is finalised. Further updates will be published as information becomes available.
